Marina Shawl
The Marina shawl is a semi-circular shawl and is crocheted back and forth with one ball of Whirl. The ruffle edge is crocheted at the bottom of the scarf with Whirlette.
The basis of this shawl is simple. The entire shawl is a repeat of only 4 rows (rows 9 to 12), turn your work after each row.
Increase 2 stitches in the first and last stitch.
In addition, increase 12 stitches in every fourth row. Divide the increases as you like or follow the pattern for these rows.
It is important that the shawl falls smoothly and becomes large enough with this pattern. Crochet a swatch to find this out. If you find yourself crocheting tightly, use a larger crochet hook!
Make sure you are familiar with the special stitches (front post stitches and clusters) before you start.
This pattern contains 2 diagrams, one for the shawl and one for the lace edge.
THE SIZE OF THE SHAWL: 55 cm x 190 cm after blocking. The size of the crochet shawl depends on the yarn and crochet hook used.
GAUGE: 24 stitches and 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm in double crochet en unblocked.
