Marley is a nod to my hometown country Jamaica and my love for reggae music. As reggae music is a fusion of different music genres combined to create something unique, so is this pullover with 2 different textures. In keeping true to my design origins, this is a gender neutral pattern that incorporates colour and texture.

NOTES
The design uses bouclé which is a textured yarn that knits up into a soft and cosy fabric. A great substitution for bouclé is suri alpaca (held double) or mohair. Ensure to select a fibre that gives a ‘fluffy’ look and feel. Brands to consider: CaMaRose, Rowan, Drops, Knit Picks, Lana Grossa and many more. The other yarn in the pattern is a rustic yet soft DK-weight wool yarn. When substituting, look for a wool yarn with a similar feel. Anything with silk or cashmere will not have the same appeal and will add more drape than the original design intents.

CONSTRUCTION
This oversized cardigan is knitted in one-piece and worked from the top down seamlessly with a raglan construction. Starting at the neckline, the fronts, shoulders, and back are knitted simultaneously all while creating the V-neck. The sleeves are placed on hold to be completed after the body. You will be working intarsia on the fronts to create an inverted ‘V’. Because of the borderless no-rib design, blocking is key to avoid the edges rolling.
