A simplified Faroese design, knitted in garter-stitch stripes with a simple lace panel at the bottom. Knitted bottom-up, from a separate picot-stitch cast-on, into which the bottom 390 stitches are picked up and knit. The cape is buttoned at the front top with an i-cord loop.

Final cape has a 66’ circumference at the bottom edge and a 20.5’ circumference around the neck.

The pattern as listed in the book uses 2 skeins each of Natural Ecru (color A) and Natural Light Gray (color B). Yardage per skein may have changed since this pattern was published, as it differs from that given on ravelry and on the yarn company’s web site: www.sirri.fo. Before relying on the number of skeins, check with the yarn company.
