This camisole is inspired by the Rose Yoke that my great great grandmother Mary Ann (MacLeod) Worth created in the 1900s. While Mary’s lacework yoke is made of very, very fine thread, this camisole is updated, modernized, and given my own twist. Featuring a similar modified rose on the front and a similar leaf pattern on the back, it’s meant to echo Mary’s own piece. I chose, however, to make the camisole entirely crochet, instead of making the bottom out of woven fabric. If you desire a more historically accurate piece, sizing the yarn down to a smaller thread, adding more openwork to the sides, and making the bottom part out of a woven fabric is a distinct possibility.
