This is based on the same design as the Masterpiece Sweater which is also found in the Mostly Classic Cables book. But for the vest, the armholes have greater shaping and are finished with bands. 12 stitch counts are given and 4 possible gauges so there are actually many, many possible sizes based on the combination of stitch count and gauge that is selected. A chart in the pattern gives details. Any gauge of machine may be used but a ribber or double bed machine is required.
