ENGLISH BELOW

La estola Mater es el resultado del Mystery Kal realizado en directo en Youtube durante los meses de marzo-mayo de 2021.

Esta estola me la pidió mi madre (de ahí su nombre) y es un homenaje al origen de la vida. Se comienza con un montaje provisional tras el cual se tejen las 5 primeras secciones: una que combina el punto bobo con el punto jersey, otra compuesta de punto brioche simple a dos colores (estas dos se repiten) y una última formada por punto bobo a dos colores y punto brioche con un motivo que puede recordar un útero (el lugar donde comienza la vida). Tras estas secciones, se retoman los puntos del montaje provisional y se hace la sexta sección, toda entera de brioche a dos colores con un motivo. A continuación, se repiten las secciones 1-5. Toda la estola está enmarcada con un I-cord bicolor.

HILADO

• Color principal: Cualquier hilado de grosor sport (unos 330 m/100 g). En la muestra se ha usado Alpaca de Drops (167 m/50 g) (100% alpaca) del color 3900.
• Color de contraste: Cualquier hilado de grosor lace (unos 800 m/100 g) con pelito. En la muestra se ha usado Kid-silk de Drops (210 m/25 g) (75% mohair, 25% seda) del color 10.

MATERIALES

• Agujas circulares de 4 mm (si tejes flojo, te aconsejo que uses agujas de 3,5 mm) y cable de 60/80 cm.
• Otro cable de 40/50 cm (para el montaje provisional) con topes.
• Marcadores.

MUESTRA DE TENSIÓN
18 p y 22 vtas en un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm tejido en punto brioche antes de bloquear.

MEDIDAS FINALES
215 cm x 50 cm.

The Mater Stole is the result of the mystery KAL held on YouTube Live during the months of March-May 2021.

My mother asked me to make this stole for her (hence the name) and it is an homage to the origins of life. It begins with a provisional cast-on and from there you work the first 5 sections: one combining garter stitch with stockinette stitch, one in simple two-colour brioche (these 2 are repeated once) and the final section in two-colour garter stitch and brioche with a motif reminiscent of the uterus (where all life begins). After these sections, you return to pick up the stitches from the provisional cast-on to work the sixth section, all in two-colour brioche with another motif. To finish, you repeat sections 1-5 once more. The entire stole is edged with a two-colour i-cord.

YARN

• Main Colour: Any sport weight yarn (approx. 330m/100g). The sample shown used Alpaca by Drops (167m/50g) (100% alpaca) in colour 3900.
• Contrast Colour: Any fluffy lace weight yarn (approx. 800m/100g). The sample shown used Kid-silk by Drops (210m/25g) (75% mohair, 25% silk) in colour 10.

MATERIALS

• 4mm circular needles (if you are a loose knitter, I would recommend using 3.5mm) and a cable of 60/80cm.
• Another cable of 40/50cm (for the provisional cast-on) with cable stoppers.
• Stitch markers.

GAUGE
18sts x 22 rows gives 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch before blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this item, but it can affect the quantity of yarn needed and the final measurements.

FINAL MEASUREMENTS
215cm x 50cm.
