Matryoshkats
Nurture your inner cat by knitting a collection of cats that’s all inner cat!
The seamless pattern is worked in the round on double-pointed needles in a delightfully simple way: each cat half is an un-stuffed ovoid shape that you’ll partially invert to make a hollow cup. You’ll pick up a small number of stitches to work the ears and tail.
The interactive results are fun for everyone!
Use worsted-weight yarn and size 5 (3.75mm) double-pointed needles for a palm-sized set, or scale them up or down as you like.
These cats originally appeared in my picture book Catside Up, Catside Down: A Book of Prepositions, published in 2023 by Feiwel & Friends.
Note: The smaller cats in the set are not suitable toys for small children.
