The May Day Wrap is a great beginner project. With a garter stitch border, it gives beginners plenty of time to practice the ‘knit’ stitch before learning to purl. And the blocks of stockinette and reverse stockinette give it visual interest. The silk in the yarn used - Sincere Sheep’s Luminous DK - gives the wrap a wonderful drape. The finished dimensions are 22” wide, 66” long, blocked (and the design teaches you what blocking is - it isn’t hard). The model is in the May Day color that the design was named for.

Our tutorial design uses our knitting skills videos to teach knitting basics, and it is for beginners. You do not need any previous knitting experience.
