Maya is a comfy sweater with minimal shaping in the back and an all-over lace pattern in the front. The body of this sweater is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The shoulders are joined using three-needle bind off. After seaming front and back together stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole and the sleeve are then worked in the round from the top down. The neckline is finished with an I-cord bind-off. All in all you only have to seam the side seams.
Maya is intended to be worn with some positive ease. Shown with 1” positive ease in the pictures.

Gauge:
18 stitches x 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch using larger needles
17 stitches x 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in pattern stitch using larger needles

Due to the lace pattern the front is about 1” / 2.5 cm to 1½“ / 4 cm wider than the back. If you are not comfortable with that, try to go down in needle size to achieve the same gauge as for stockinette stitch.

Maya ist ein gemütlicher Pullover mit Taillenformung im Rückenteil und einem femininen Lochmuster im Vorderteil. Beide Teile werden getrennt von unten nach oben gestrickt. Die Schultern werden mit der Drei-Nadel-Abkettmethode verbunden. Nach dem Zusammennähen des Vorder- und Rückenteil, werden Maschen aus den Armausschnitten aufgenommen und die Ärmel in Runden von oben nach unten gestrickt. Der Halsausschnitt wird mit einer angestrickten Kordel versäubert.

Maschenprobe:
18 Maschen x 26 Reihen = 10 cm in glatt rechts unter Verwendung der dickeren Nadeln
17 Maschen x 28 Reihen = 10 cm im Strickmuster unter Verwendung der dickeren Nadeln

Durch das Lochmuster ist das Vorderteil etwa 2.5 cm (kleinste Größe) bis 4 cm (größte Größe) weiter als das Rückenteil, soll dies vermieden werden, empfiehlt es sich eine kleinere Nadelgröße zu verwenden, um die gleiche Maschenprobe wie für das Rückenteil zu erhalten.
