But of course you can still make the blanket. This is a mini taster of what the whole pattern is like. It’s based on the centre of the large square for the blanket and you can even use it as your gauge swatch in preparation for making the full one.

It has another use too - you can use it to make your final Mayan blanket larger by making lots of them and adding them to your layout however you like.

4 of these mini taster squares will be the same width as one of the large squares so that makes it really easy to play about with layouts.
