Meadow Thistle
MARY HENDERSON has a passion for traditional Scottish knitting, and she has combined two of her favourite styles in this neat cardigan. The body fabric uses a lovely Fair Isle pattern, paired with colourful corrugated ribbing around the hem. The lacy cropped sleeves, meanwhile, are knitted in a double eyelet ribbing, and the button bands and neck edging are in moss stitch. Mary’s design is worked in the round with a column of steek stitches, which are cut open and secured at the end. It has been knitted in a Shetland 4ply wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.
