Méandres is a loose sweater with a twisted stitches pattern knitted from the right shoulder to the bottom, and on the right
sleeve.

This is a top down sweater based on drop shoulders construction, in the round.

The bottom of the body and the sleeves includes a bind off, followed by picked up twisted ribs. The bind off is made with an
extensible method in order to fully stretch the ribs edge to create a nice band.

This pattern is calculated according to the back measure to get the perfect fit. There are two bust measures possible by size.

Material

• Yarn: fingering weight.

My sample is made with Peregrine from ChristalLK (388 m / 100 gr, 100% wool), mousse colorway.

If you want to substitute the yarn, choose a non superwash fingering weight yarn, that swells after first bath. You can also use a sport weight SW, but in this case, make sure to have more yardage than indicated. Extensible yarns usually ask for more.

• Circular needles: 3.5 mm (or size needed to get the right gauge) for the body, 2.5 mm when asked in the pattern. A third needle for 3 needles bind off.

• About twenty markers.

• An holder.

• A cable needle if necessary.

Quantities

Gauge

24 sts x 34 rows in stockinette stitch and in twisted stitch pattern, in the round,10 x 10 cm, washed, blocked and dry.

It’s important to get the right gauge to obtain the size as indicated.

Méandres est un pull loose, orné d’un motif à mailles croisées sur toute l’épaule droite, devant et dans le dos, ainsi que sur la manche droite.

Il se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down), selon une construction drop shoulders, essentiellement en rond. Les finitions de l’encolure, du bas du corps et du bas des manches sont constituées d’un rabat, suivi de côtes torses, rabattues de manière extensible pour ensuite être totalement étirées au blocage afin de former une jolie bande.

Ce modèle est gradé selon la mesure dos pour un porté seyant et propose deux tours de poitrine par taille.

Matériel :

• Fil : épaisseur fingering.

Le prototype a été tricoté avec la base Pérégrine fingering de ChristalLK (388 m / 100 gr, 100% laine), coloris mousse.

Si vous souhaitez utiliser un fil différent, privilégiez un fil fingering non SW, sec, avec beaucoup de gonflant après le premier lavage. Vous pouvez également utiliser un fil sport SW, dans ce cas,
prévoyez plus de métrage qu’indiqué, les fils extensibles ont tendance à être plus gourmands.

• Aiguilles circulaires : 3,5 mm pour l’essentiel du corps, 2,5 mm pour toutes les finitions.

Prévoyez une troisième aiguille 3,5 mm pour le rabat à 3 aiguilles des épaules.

• Une vingtaine d’anneaux marqueurs.

• Un arrête-mailles.

• Une aiguille auxiliaire si besoin pour les mailles croisées.

Tailles :

Les tailles disponibles : (0, 1, 2, 3) (4, 5, 6) (7, 8, 9) (10, 11, 12, 13).

Les mesures du tableau sont en centimètres et représentent les mesures du vêtement fini.

Pour information, le modèle sur les photos est une taille 6 FP (poitrine 124 cm, bras 38 cm, hanches 124 cm), pour une stature d’1m60.

Échantillon

Lavé , bloqué et sec : 24 m x 34 rgs, 10 x 10 cm, en
jersey et selon le motif, en rond.

Il est important de respecter l’échantillon pour
obtenir la taille attendue.
