This pattern is designed in color blocks that are joined together through intarsia techniques. The body of the hat is worked flat up to the top of the crown and then seamed down the side. Stitches for the brim are picked up from a provisional cast on from which the color pattern is worked. A 5-rope braid and tassel sprout from the top and simple crocheted medallions highlight each color block.
