Medieval Lady Doll
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
A few years ago, I saw a brass rubbing from a medieval grave. It was a portrait of a beautiful woman and her beloved dog. I loved it that her dog was portrayed with her - it was obviously a beloved companion in her life, and it has kept her company for hundreds of years since….
I had to knit a portrait of them both……
(Just got a note telling me that the heraldic meaning of the little dog was that she was a wonderful woman, as the dog signifies fidelity and all good things. I think that she was a wonderful woman who probably had a really great dog! LOL!)
