This Medieval Patterned Cowl features traditional motifs that were some of the earliest recorded in knitting history, coming from the Islamic world. It’s worked in four shades of a super soft blend of Shetland wool and lambswool.

For this cowl I used Jamieson’s of Shetland ULTRA (25g, 194m; 50% Shetland Wool, 50% Lambswool): 1 skein each of #314 Silver (Color A); #103 Sholmit (Color B); #802 Goblin (Color C); and #527 Lava (Color D) - with a US size 3 (3.25mm) 16” (40cm) circular knitting needle.
