Created while I was discovering some classic Bollywood romance movies, it is named after some of my favourite heroines: strong women who do not shy away from defending themselves and go for what they want. The lace in this shawl evolves from subtle eyelets to a full-grown-and-bloomed flower border. Its motifs have been created to match some of the stunning landscapes you can see in the movies.

The shawl is started off with a garter stitch tab and knitted from the neck outward, with little work on the wrong-side of the shawl. Most of the body of the shawl is worked in stockinette which slowly evolves in the lace border, making it a pretty quick knit despite its rather large size.

Stocking Stitch = 19 stitches x 32 rows.
Chart A (1 pattern repeat) = 12 stitches x 24 rows.

Créé alors que je découvrais certains films romantiques classiques de Bollywood, ce châle porte le nom de certaines de mes héroïnes préférées : des femmes fortes qui n’hésitent pas à défendre leurs opinions et à obtenir ce qu’elles veulent. La dentelle de ce châle évolue, passant d’un tout petit motif à une bordure remplie de fleurs. Ses motifs ont été créés pour correspondre à certains des paysages magnifiques que l’on peut voir dans les films.

Le châle commence par un montage sur bande de point mousse et se tricote de l’encolure vers l’extérieur, avec peu de travail sur l’envers du châle. La plus grande partie du corps du châle est tricotée en jersey et évolue lentement vers la bordure en dentelle, ce qui en fait un tricot assez rapide malgré sa taille assez importante.

Le châle Meera est la version fingering du châle Anjali.
