Sachiko Burgin’s Meerschaum socks combine rustic yarn and delicate lace, creating a pair of dreamy socks. The socks are knitted in the round from the cuff down. Beautiful lace sections run down the ankles and feet. The pattern is written for DPN’s but it can be easily adapted to the magic loop method.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Ankle circumference: 8 inches / 20.5 cm.
Leg length: 6 inches / 15 cm or desired length.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein each of Durasport by Briggs and Little (80% wool, 20% nylon, 430 yds / 393 m ‒ 113 g), colourways Oatmeal (CC) and Ecru (MC).

Needles: US 1 (2.25 mm) DPN’s (set of 5) for cast on and ribbing and US 1.5 (2.5 mm) DPN’s (set of 5) for main pattern.

Notions: Removable stitch marker, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
30 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) over lace pattern using larger DPN’s, after blocking.

Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
