Named for one of the Greek “Furies”, these extra long mitts feature a leaf lace pattern that closely resembles burning flames of justice. In contrast to the frightening appearance of this goddess, the mitts are knit using a soft pink yarn to remind the world of love and beauty. While this goddess is inflexible, the ribbing section is extremely flexible and forms perfectly to your arm. This pattern of contradiction creates mitts that are supremely soft and enjoyable to wear.

These lovely and lacy fingerless mitts that can be created in a more feminine style (with ribbons and soft, luxurious yarn) or in a more practical style (without ribbon section and with a yarn that wears well and lasts long). The Megaera Mitts come in 2 sizes and can be knit with a longer or shorter wrist ribbing.

Notions needed:

clip on stitch marker (or safety pin), stitch markers, scissors, measuring tape, tapestry needle, (3/8”) 56” long gauze ribbon (or ribbon style of choice), row counter, stitch holder or 12” length of waste yarn for holding thumb stitches.
