This stunning asymmetric design combines lace with simple stocking stitch and garter stitch, perfect for both beginners and more experienced knitters.

Inspired by the palms and the bright colours found in ancient Moroccan architecture, this shawl is an asymmetrical triangle, fun and simple to knit. The main body of the shawl alternates between stocking stitch and garter stitch bands followed by a section of lace pattern. Stitches are then cast on for the knitted-on border which is worked over these new stitches and joined in the main body of the shawl on every RS row.

This pattern is featured in Knit Now magazine Issue 104 (July 2019), which is available in both print and digital editions. Print editions are available (with worldwide shipping) from MoreMags and digital editions are sold via PocketMags.
