The Melanie Cowl is that perfect fall accessory when the morning air is still cool and crisp on your neck but a winter scarf might be a bit too much. Or, it can transition into the polished finishing touch to spruce up that plain crew neck sweater for the office. A simple two-row Tunisian crochet repeat produces a beautifully textured lattice-like fabric. By holding two strands of yarn together, the cowl transitions from one solid color to another via a gradient band between them. The Melanie Cowl is worked flat then seamed into a tube, with the edgings worked in rounds - a great project for the novice Tunisian crocheter who’s ready to learn new stitches and incorporate some colorwork!
