Melete was the muse of practice, thought and meditation. Melete means “to ponder” and “contemplation.”

The Melete beanie is a warm and cozy hat with two layers. The hat is started with a provisional cast on. The ribbing is worked with twisted stitches to give it a beautiful stitch definition. The rest of the hat is worked in Stockinette stitch and decreases towards the top. The inner layer of the hat is worked similarly to the outer layer. Lastly, the inner layer is folded inside the outer layer for double thickness.

You can either work the hat in just one color, or work the inner layer in a contrasting color. That way you can wear the hat with either side on top.
