Melisande is a delightful story by E. (Edith) Nesbit. You can find the full version of the story online: http://www.surlalunefairytales.com/rapunzel/shortstories/...

This Melisande is a 7” tall amigurumi doll, crocheted in rounds from her head to her toes. Her arms, legs, and skirt are made by picking up stitches from the body and working outwards. Her hair and cap are made separately. She’s the perfect doll for princesses of all ages.
