You customize the length of the sole with this pattern to get the perfect fit. Pattern includes US mens shoe size chart with measurements in inches - sizes 8 to 15. (You can make these to fit larger sizes if you just get the foot measurement.)

Crocheted using worsted weight yarn in 2 colors of choice and a size f (3.75 mm) hook. I crocheted the shoe strings, but you could also use real ones.
