A weightless pullover with vintage styling and a simple lace yoke completes any outfit. Merle is knit in Loft, worked in the round up to the sleeve join, with deep hems and cuffs of garter stitch. The fronts, back, and sleeve caps are worked flat and sewn together. Inset panels of delicate eyelet columns on the back and fronts create a sweetly curved yoke, and the round neck is split with a pretty placket and finished with a pointed flat collar in garter stitch.

CONSTRUCTION
The pullover is knit from the bottom up in one piece to the underarms, then the fronts and back are divided and worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are knit in the round to the underarm, then cap shaping is worked back and forth in rows.

MATERIALS
1145 (1260, 1395, 1520, 1670, 1800) yards of fingering weight wool yarn

5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 275 yards/50g)

GAUGE
22 stitches & 32 rows/rounds = 4” in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking

NEEDLES
Size A (for Main Fabric):
One 32” circular needle and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs)* in size needed to obtain gauge listed
Suggested Size: 3½ mm (US 4)

Size B (for Edging):
One 32” circular needle and one set of DPNs, two sizes smaller than Size A
Suggested Size: 2¾ mm (US 2)

32” circular needle can be used instead of DPNs if using the Magic Loop method for working small circumferences in the round (i.e. Sleeves)
