Merleena is a warm hat for little children. It has earflaps with tying cords so it warms cheeks well and doesn’t get pulled off by quick little hands. It sits low at the neck so no frost bites from there either!

Hat is knit back and forth at earflaps, then in the round to the crown and i-cord is attached while knitting it to hat edge.

Instructions give three alternatives for tail length.

You’ll need to have basic knitting skills, know how to knit in the round and how to make i-cord.
