I designed this as a response to the popular Mermaid Blankets that have been going around Social Media. Most versions and subsequently the patterns for the mermaid blankets were crocheted, and since I have yet to master the art of crochet I thought I would create my own when a friend hired me to knit one for her little girl. Warning: I have only officially tested the small version. The medium and large were done via calculations of 1.25x and 1.5x the small variables. Please adjust as you deem necessary in order to work for the intended recipient. If you need help with sizing please contact me and I will do my best to help.

Finished Size
Child or Small size - approx 41”x 43” for the body
Medium – 52”x 54” or desired length
Large- approx 61.5”x 64.5 or desired length”
