The Mermaid Ripple Bag was originally publised in 2017 as the Mermaid Ripple Purse. This is the same pattern, but now includes two different style options; the purse OR the backpack!

The original yarn used was Premier’s Sweet Roll Yarn, which has been difficult to find, and some colors have been discontinued. Most recently I have made this design with Red Heart Retro Stripes, and it has been a huge hit! You can use any worsted weight yarn!

H hook for the body of the bag, and F hook for the straps!
If you are making the purse, the purse rings are also required for the straps.
