Mermaid Tears Rectangle Shawl
by Katie Clary
A free version is also available.
This beautiful combination of shells and V stitches works up beautifully in self striping yarns like Caron Cakes, or in solid colors, too!
My shawl is shown using 2 Caron Cakes, but there was less than 20 yds left, so it might be good to have a spare cake handy in case your gauge is looser than mine.
The shells look beautiful whether you like them facing up or down, and this wrap looks great as a shawl, or pinned with a shawl collar for a faux sweater.
The pattern includes a stitch multiple so you can adjust to your custom width easily, just note you’ll need more yarn for a bigger shawl, of course!
