Round up all your DK weight scraps, Merry & Bright is a true stash buster!

This self-lined stocking uses DK weight held double, making for a speedy and satisfying project.

I have included picture tutorials, tips on colour selection, and lots of other tricks and techniques for a fun and seamless knitting experience.

Skills Used
Judy’s Magic cast on, knit, working in the round, German short rows, slipping stitches, working with multiple colours, increasing /decreasing, Kitchener stitch.

Materials:
Sample Yarn Used:
DK weight scraps in various colours, held double throughout.

Designer’s Note: The samples were all created from stash. I used a combination of scraps, leftovers and partial skeins to create the samples. DK weight yarn held double is recommended for this pattern as there are some techniques that required two strands (marling).

Approx. Yardage: 500 yds/ 457 m DK weight yarn total. The yardage is held double.

Needles & Notions:
• 6 mm/US 10, 80 cm/32” circular needles or needle size required to match gauge;
• 4.5 mm/US 7, 60 cm/24” circular needle or douple pointed needles to work i-cord
• Blocking pins;
• Darning needle

Gauge: 16 sts & 23 rows = 4”/10 cm, st st knit in the round.

Measurements:
The stocking 15”/30 cm long from cuff to toe and 6”/15 cm wide when laid flat, and 12”/30 cm in circumference.
