Materials

Any DK (8-ply/light worsted) weight cotton yarn will create a strong, hard-wearing bag. Approx. 100g/215m/236yd of yarn is required per bag.
I used 5 balls of Sirdar Happy Cotton (100% cotton) per bag, in 799 Bubblegum Pink, 788 Quack Yellow and 761 Dolly White; 20g/43m/47yd

Bag measures approx. 28cm (11in) wide and 30cm (12in) long (without straps) when unstretched
There are two handle lengths – bag measures 42(45)cm (161⁄2(173⁄4)in) long with strap
