Message in a Beanie
My son (pictured on the pattern) wanted a hat for his college roommate named Kyle. He wanted me to add a message inside. I designed a plain, beanie-type hat with a folded hem for the band so I could duplicate-stitch in his message. When I asked him what he wanted to say, he replied “Kyle sucks” so that’s what I wrote… Hats that I subsequently knit for my son have included the following messages: Mumsey loves you; Mumsey still loves you; and Please return to c.holdgraf. I’ll leave you to fill in the story of what happened to each of the hats…
