Yarns made from T-shirt jersey seem to have a limited but potent appeal. The obvious choices seem to be home decor and simply knotted accessories. Sweaters have always been deemed improbable, most likely because of the heft of the finished fabric.

I love the impact of macro-sized stitches and took on the challenge of designing a sweater that wouldn’t sag under its own weight. Knitting from side to side on large needles gave me the open, airy look I wanted with minimal droop. A firmly crocheted side seam adds stability and a decorative edge, while trim sleeves, knit at a tighter gauge than the body, neaten the overall appearance.
