Metedeconk Beach Tote
Description: The Metedeconk Beach Tote, aptly named for a local river, is adorned with a bay scallop shell pattern and gritty sand stitch and is finished off with a decorative semi-circle design. This tote features several textures created from inserting the hook into either the front or back loops, making it a fun challenge and learning tool for anyone interested in furthering their crochet skills.
Project overview: This beach tote is worked from the bottom up beginning with an oval bottom worked in the round. A scalloped shell pattern forms for the body of the bag which leads into a ribbed border and then a sand stitch. Lastly, a semi-circle design is worked along the inside edge of the bag and the handles are attached with tabs. All of the patterns are created by working into either the front of back loop.
Skill: Intermediate
