Mexican Diamonds
Errata available:
janiecrow.com
Jane loves traditional Mexican textiles and she often looks at woven fabrics, embroidery and crewel work for design inspiration.
This design features a repeated diamond pattern which echoes those found on rugs and wraps from Mexico. A flower motif sits at the centre of the diamond motif and Jane has used surface slip stitch to enhance the idea of hand stitching. The flowers sit on the edge of the blanket to give it a really unusual border.
The stitches used in this design are ch, ss, dc, tr and dtr.
The pattern is also available as a printed brochure via the Janie Crow website.
