With its open latticework fabric, this shawl is very quick to work up, and it’s easy enough for a beginner crocheter! The pattern stitch is a variation on filet stitch - it incorporates single crochet as well as double crochet and chain stitches.
One 266m skein makes a small shawlette:
130 cm (52”) wingspan (top edge)
43 cm (17”) deep (at centre point)
Two 266m skeins produces a large shawl:
187 cm (75”) wingspan (top edge)
60 cm (24”) deep (at centre point)
For those of you who’ve asked about the colour used for the model…it’s #2193 - Yukon Green!
