Mia Shawl
The Shawl has information for two versions of the shawl, one in a DK, one is a sock weight yarn. It also comes with a belt pattern so that you can convert the shawl into a vest, a halter top, a cowl, and a buttoned shoulder caplet. The gauge will depend on what yarn you use, so we did not include a gauge, as the shawl was knit is at least 5 different yarns, from those listed, to a Noro cotton blend and a hand spun. Depending on the yarn used you will need one skein, or as many as three, the yardage is the important aspect. You will use a size US8/5mm for the DK or a US6/4mm for the sock weight. If you want to, you could knit this in a worsted or light chunky yarn, with larger knitting needles for a very dramatic look. Included in the pattern is a how to on how to make my Carasan Button Links to convert the shawl into a garment, such as a vest or top. Images of those conversions are included with the pattern. It comes as a PDF, but can be ordered as a hard copy as well per request.
