Tea sets are always popular and ak’s version is knitted in modern, bright colours and comes complete with its own boiled wool storage basket. Pattern includes instructions for the table cloth, napkins and biscuit box.

This project is knitted predominately in dk wool on a combination of 3mm double-point and 4mm straight needles. You’ll also need a selection of textured wool remnants for trims.

The tea basket can be worked in wool designed specifically for ‘felting’ or more correctly, boiling or in a pure wool that has not been treated to be machine washable.

Wool felt is readily available at most craft stores as is the small paper mache box used to make the biscuit tin.
