Micetto
The MICETTO hat is a simple Fair Isle patterned beanie, made for all cat lovers in the knitting community. It was fun to knit and will perfectly fit around your head. A small brim with slipped stitches is showing the two colors, that will be used for a small repeating Fair Isle pattern.
It took me some time to design a neat crown. It´s a beautiful surprise when you turn your head. I am sure, you will like it! The pattern is so addictive, I could not resist to knit two hats in one go! If you are using two skeins of DK weight yarn, you can knit one hat for yourself and one as a gift!
Use contrasting colors for background and pattern stitches. Work the pattern color so that the yarn is dominant against the background. If you are using hand-dyed yarn - the irregular quality of the yarn lends itself beautifully to this pattern, adding depth and dimension to the knitted fabric.
The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. Pattern is charted. Directions are given for one size, only by changing needle size and gauge you can knit a smaller or larger size.
