400 yards of worsted or aran weight yarn
3 yards of silk ribbon, cut into 4 equal lengths
size 8 double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
size 6 double-pointed needles

Gauge:
18 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches in stockinette stitch
