Midge is based on a pink short 1950’s style of swing jacket worn by Midge Maisel on season 2 episode 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Pattern was created from watching the episode numerous times to capture the shape and stylish details such as collar, cuffed sleeve, shaped pockets and swing of this epic jacket. The written pattern includes a variety of sizes as well as specific detailed instructions for attaining this jacket’s construction as closely as possible. The original jacket was a sewn garment & great effort was take to recreate for a hand knitted version. Brown Sheep Lanaloft worsted proved to be a perfect choice for the needed drape.
