Midnight River Mantle
Golden flecks on the surface of this rippling fabric suggest lights reflected on quiet water. The gentle movement of the angled stitch pattern creates a fabric that catches the light in interesting ways, making the most of the shape’s broad canvas and flattering the wearer.
This casually elegant mantle is equally soothing to make and to wear: knitted from the bottom up, it finishes with a few rows of ribbing at the center for the neck. The fabric is then folded over and seamed (using a 3-Needle Bind Off) along one arm, leaving a wide neck opening at one side of the folded rectangle, with the folded edge along the other arm. The pattern is written in three sizes, to fit 30-62” (76-157.5 cm) busts.
#sizeinclusive to fit a 62” / 157.5 cm finished chest measurement.
