This is a crocheted hexagon motif that I first saw worn by Miley Cyrus about two years ago, hence the name.

I had worked the motif out but never got round to writing up the pattern.

The motif can be made using any size yarn, just use a corresponding hook because I’ve found that with this motif the correct size hook usually works best.

There is also a video tutorial for the pattern which includes my crochet join method here. You can of course use any joining method you prefer.

For the video tutorial I am using Scheepjes Catona yarn and a 3mm size hook and each motif measures 8cm in diameter.
