Pricing update: I have increased my prices to more accurately represent the work that has gone into the making of my patterns. All my patterns have increased in prices, however my newer designs have increased more than my old ones, as I feel I have learned a lot over the years and the quality of my newer designs is higher. The price listed reflects what I believe is fair for the work put into the design, however I understand that the price increases may be inaccessible to some and am offering some tiered discounts for those that need them.

A “Choose What You Pay” model is available for this pattern, allowing both financial accessibility and fair pricing. The buyer may pay what they are able while still valuing the hard work invested to create this design. Use the codes below in order to pay the price listed after each. Choose whichever price works best for you!

  • No Code – Full Price = $15.00 CAD
  • PK10 – 10% off = $13.50 CAD
  • PK20 – 20% off = $12.00 CAD
  • PK30 – 30% off = $10.50 CAD

I also offer a Buy 3, Get 1 Free discount! Add any 4 of my patterns to your cart, and use the code BUY3GET1 to get the 4th pattern free! Note: the free pattern will be the lowest priced pattern.

The Millennial Tee is a super fun cropped tee design, with drop shoulder sleeves and a crew neck collar. This was designed in collaboration with The Frosted Stitch’s Millennial yarn collection and was inspired by the colours and style of the 90’s! It is knit top down, knit flat in front/back sections, then joined after the arm hole and knit in the round. The sleeves are picked up around the arm hole and knit in the round. I have added some fun plaid stripes in 2 contrast colours using duplicate stitch. This is optional, but adds a fun touch to the piece! I have included some waist shaping modifications, but it is intended to be a bit more of an oversized, boxy fit. The gauge is on the looser side for a nicer drape. It is a size inclusive design, written in sizes every 4 inches from 30” - 70” bust.

Sizes offered:
30(34, 38, 42){46, 50, 54}58, 62, 66,70
Sizes 66 and 70 are untested
These sizes reflected the FINISHED bust measurements in inches of the tee. The tee is designed for 15 - 20% positive ease, but could be worn with less positive ease if you prefer a snugger fit, though the fit of the tee will be a bit different with less ease. To determine the size you wish to knit, measure your bust, and multiply by 1.15 - 1.20 (depending on your intended ease percentage) to find the closest size. If you are in between sizes, size down for a snugger fit, or up for a looser fit.

Needles recommended:
Note: I recommend using a set of interchangeable needles for this pattern, as you will need multiple cord lengths

4.5 mm / US 7
Body: cord length to match your size bust measurement (or slightly smaller)
Sleeves: 9 or 12 inch circulars, DPNs, or 32”+ circulars for magic loop
You may need other size needles to meet gauge.

Gauge (blocked):
Using 4.5 mm needles and working in stockinette in the round.
I recommend also swatching flat, as the first part of the tee is knit flat before joining in the round. If your flat gauge is significantly different than your round gauge, you can adjust needle size for the flat portion.

4” x 4” = 18 sts x 24 rows/rounds

Make sure to block your swatch, as this can significantly change the size of your swatch depending on your fiber choice. Keep in mind that the weight of the finished tee may add a little extra stretch.
Note: if your stitch count is correct for gauge but row/round count is a tiny bit off, continue using this needle size, but keep in mind you may need to adjust your length a bit.

Extra notions required:
Stitch markers
Scissors
Yarn needle
Scrap yarn or extra cord for holding sections of the work
Row counter is recommended!

Yarn recommended:
Any DK (3) weight yarn that you can get gauge with.

I used indie dyed yarn from The Frosted Stitch (Deep Freeze DK -245 yds per 100 g) in the colourway Dunkaroos, plus Lava Lamp and Windbreaker for the optional duplicate stitch striping.

An alternative box brand yarn is KnitPicks Swish DK (123 yds per 50g ball).
