These socks were designed specifically for Meridian Mill House Foothills Fingering Weight yarn. The undyed yarn has a lovely hand and produces well-defined soft cushy stitches. The heel chosen is a favorite because it requires no picking up stitches for the gusset, so it is easy enough for beginner sock knitters.
