These socks were designed specifically for Meridian Mill House Foothills Fingering Weight yarn. The undyed yarn has a lovely hand and produces well-defined soft cushy stitches. The heel chosen is a favorite because it requires no picking up stitches for the gusset, so it is easy enough for beginner sock knitters. The finished socks have an elegant classic look, and they are as easy to knit as they are to wear.
