Milton
Meet Milton. Is he a Moose or a Reindeer? He could be an Elk, too. You choose!
Skills Required: Knitting in rnds, knit, purl, kfb, m1, m1p, k2tog, ssk, i-cord, short rows, centered double decrease (cdd), bobble, grafting
Body is worked first from top down with scrap yarn holding stitches for front legs. Front Legs are worked next, then back legs are picked up and worked out. Front and back legs both have ‘cloven’ hooves. Snout and head are worked and sewn to body. Ears, Antlers and Tail are added to complete Milton.
Body and back legs have cardboard (or plastic) inserts for shaping. Antlers are i-cord worked around chenille stems, then twisted and shaped. Due to the wire within chenille stems, this project is not recommended for small children.
Finally, dive into your stash for a scrap of sock yarn to make a scarf.
