Mimei
未明 MIMEI : Japanese for (n) early dawn, grey of morning. Dawn breaks as the night recedes.
The double hem to this hat provides a visual frame to the face with a little slouch to the crown for a stylish silhouette.
Two variations of the design are detailed in the pattern:
Model A is cleverly worked in stocking stitch in the round but turned inside out upon completion to display the beautiful ombre effect with softly textured reverse stocking stitch.
Model B is worked in stocking stitch in the round for the perfect for all seasons hat.
Notes
The written pattern provides detailed instructions, along with photos and schematic. The hat is seamless, worked inside out and in the round.
