Mimizan
Mimizan is a beanie worked in two colours of aran weight yarn.
The design was inspired by the large cones of the maritime pine trees in the forests around Mimizan in the Aquitaine region of France.
It uses a fun combination of slipped travelling stitches to create the zig zag effect and you are only ever using one colour at a time. The pattern provides full ‘stand alone’ written instructions for the stitch pattern and has been thoroughly tested for clarity.
It’s an interesting quick knit, ideal for gifts and in smaller sizes, ideal for using up left overs from other projects.
The breakdown of the yardage of yarn needed in each colour for each size is shown below. As such you can see if partial balls have sufficient yardage for your size.
