This slouchy hat with a simple lace panel suggesting the domes and minarets of the Taj Mahal was created to be a quick project for beginner knitters seeking a bit of a challenge, but interesting enough for more advanced levels. Worked up in our chunky Walrus yarn, this hat will take no time to complete. Add an extra large pom pom or leave it plain, either way will keep you cozy!

Yarn:

Wonderland Yarns “Walrus” chunky weight, 100% superwash merino: 130 yds/4 oz skein: 1 skein. Shown in colorway ‘Spectre’

Needles & Notions:
US size 7 circular —16” long, US size 10 circular (or size required to get gauge)— 16” long, and double-pointed needles for working the crown, darning needle, 1 stitch marker

Gauge:
14 sts & 20 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette on larger needles

Measurements:
9” tall, 18” around at ribbing, one size fits most adults.
