First, I’d like to make a note regarding the length of the cozy in the photos.. The sides are a bit short in the pics, but I’ve done my best to fix that in the pattern, so your cozy shouldn’t be short like that.

Next, as to the gauge.. the best way to tell if your gauge is too big or too small is to place it against your Kleenex Box. If your side is too long, or wider than the side of the box, your gauge is too big. The sides need to stretch a bit because the cozy needs to be tight to your Kleenex box. Stretching horizontally is a must. Stretching vertically though, is not.

I used Big Twist Worsted Weight yarn for this pattern, but you can choose any brand or color of worsted weight yarn (aside from the cotton stuff which is lighter) that you’d like. I used Jade Green, Bright Orange, Varsity Yellow, Deep Red, Titanium Gray and Black yarn.

Note: The darker the shade you use for the box itself, the harder it is to see the eyes and smile.
