Mini Quinn
MINI QUINN:
celebrates the beauty of traditional quilting. This intarsia blanket shows off this glorious new yarn featuring a color palette of the Western US. Made with American fleece, milling, and dying JBW has created a gorgeous springy, soft, natural wool yarn. A dream to knit with as you create (I hope) a great warm piece to snuggle into!
YARN:
Quinn’s Quilt is designed to be knit in DK weight yarn. Reno Rafter 7, DK is of the hearty variety. If you wish to make a substitution, many light worsteds and some DK yarns could work. The blanket can also be made smaller or larger with different needles, yarns & yardage. That information is NOT contained within this pattern.

NEEDLES & GAUGE:
US 7’s/4.5mm circular needles. Since this piece grows, I like using circulars with longer cables.
GAUGE uses US 7’s/4.5mm in garter, before blocking. Remember, garter ROWS pull together
before blocking. This will look like an odd gauge at first glance, but each garter ridge
represents TWO actual rows.
The first thing you knit is a modified garter triangle. You CAN use that as your gauge swatch. In the pattern I give you the size that initial shape should measure.
I do not enjoy making gauge swatches, I always would rather start knitting!
SIZE: Blanket Size = 44” SQUARE
Due to the nature of garter stitch, this blanket can be hard blocked to make it larger. You may also make a larger or smaller border. This depends on your yarn use and the optional purchase of additional yarn.
Personally, I mostly shaped (trued lines), flattened and minimally stretched the piece to achieve the size listed.
NOTIONS:
A yarn sewing needle for Kitchener Joining & tucking in some ends. Removeable markers if desired (recommended).
